-ACADEMIC HISTORY-
Which TWO Houses would you most like to be sorted into, and why?: Ally was sorted into Polera last year.
Wand: vine wood and unicorn hair, 9 inches, rather bendy
Pets: A small owl named Harriet
Other Items: Ally has a brand new broomstick this year, a Cleansweep 10. She doesn’t know if it’s a really good broom or not, but she’s very excited about it.
-PERSONALITY-
Ally makes friends very easily and loves being around people. She will talk to anyone about anything, though a lot of her conversation consists of questions. She dislikes being treated like a child and being left out of things because of her age. Ally has a very good memory and she can be a good student, but her eagerness to try things (rather than listening to lectures) can sometimes get her into trouble. She still gets very excited when she manages to perform a spell properly. She is looking forward to trying out for her house Quidditch team this year.
-HISTORY-
Family: Adoptive parents Gilbert and Breanna Jacobs, maternal grandmother Denise Jacobs, younger brother Jeremy (age 8)
Overall History: The Jacobs family adopted Ally when she was a toddler. No one is sure what happened to her biological parents. The official story is that they died in a fire. Ally's never been too concerned about it. As far as she's concerned, Gilbert and Breanna are her real parents.
Gilbert was wrapped around Ally's little finger from the day he brought her home. She's the apple of his eye and a real daddy's girl. They love taking walks together and exploring their neighborhood. Her mother, Breanna, has always encouraged Ally to be curious and ask questions. She made a point of reading aloud to Ally and her brother every night before bed, which they loved. Ally's little brother Jeremy is a tagalong and a goof, but Ally loves him (most of the time). The two of them built a fort in their backyard that they enjoy playing in. Grandmother Denise is stern and doesn't put up with any nonsense, but she taught Ally to bake cookies and to garden. They haven’t been as close since Ally found out she was a witch.
Ally grew up knowing that she was loved and that she was special. She had a few odd incidents before finding out she was a witch. When the representative from the school came with her letter, Ally was thrilled. Her parents were happy for her and eager to help Ally explore her new world. Her younger brother was wildly jealous and is still waiting to find out if he’ll get a letter in a few years, though he’s shown no signs of magic. Only Grandmother Denise was displeased about the revelation. She has been very cool toward Ally ever since the letter came and refuses to listen to anything about Ally’s magical experiences.
{OPTIONAL}
Greatest Fear: Ally’s greatest fear is that she’ll lose her family, or that they’ll start to hate her because of her magic.
Worst Memory: Shortly after Ally got her acceptance letter to Aurora, she overheard her parents and her grandmother having a terrible fight about whether or not to let her attend the school. She heard her grandmother say the words “unnatural” and “ridiculous” and assumes that both words referred to her. This assumption has only been strengthened by her grandmother’s distant attitude since then. Ally was deeply hurt by this and is unsure what she can do to make her grandmother care for her again.
Patronus: Ally is unable to perform the Patronus charm at the moment.

Sample RP:
Breakfast at the Jacobs' house was usually a noisy affair. Ally Jacobs and her younger brother Jeremy were both morning people, although their parents and grandmother were not, and they chattered eagerly as Grandmother Denise served them pancakes. Their parents sat at the table with them, sipping coffee and making the appropriate noises when one of the children said something to them.
Ally had just bitten into a piece of warm, fluffy pancake when there came a tapping at the window. She dropped her fork on her plate. "An owl!" she cried, jumping up and rushing to open the window and let the bird in.
"Not in the kitchen!" Grandmother cried, but Ally wasn't listening.
"You can land on the sink," she said to the owl, which followed her directions and perched on the faucet. Ally eagerly took the letter from its beak. "Thank you, thank you!" she said. The owl hooted softly and took flight again. Ally took her letter back to the table while her grandmother slammed the window shut.
"It's from school!" Ally said, looking at the address. She tore the envelope open eagerly and pulled out three sheets of parchment.
