Boreas House Along one of the many hallways there stands a suit of armor, and while there are many suits of armor in the castle, this one is the only knight with blue plumage and a crystal sword. This knight is known to all Boreas students as the Knight of Riddles. He gives you a riddle in a deep, rumbling voice, and you have to answer correctly for the Knight to show you the hidden door to the Boreas common room. Once students have passed the Knight's test, they can bypass the Knight after answering his riddles and go straight to the secret door, but this only lasts for a semester at a time. The door changes location every semester, sparking a new session of riddles from the Knight.

Leona House The doorway to the Leona common room is a misleadingly ordinary door set in a dead end of the castle. Most who come across it think it's simply a storage room. After unlocking the door with an Alohomora charm (which only works for Leona students on this particular door), you are transported to a random vision of danger. What would you do? This is a test of instinct and leadership. Those who cannot live up to the task of figuring a way out of the vision can be stuck for days on end, leaving their vacant bodies in the corridor to be taken to the school nurse. Those who pass through learn a secret trigger to look for that will take them straight to the common room, bypassing the rest of the vision.

Polera House In a particularly art-laden hallway stands an ornate, antique mirror. The mirror is significantly taller than the average person. When you approach it, it is not your reflection that you see. Instead, you see a vision of something you fear, and this is personalized for every student. Fears take all shapes and sized, and can be mental, emotional, or as mundane and normal as a fear of spiders. This is a test of courage, which is one of many of the Polera House traits. How will you show your courage? Once the Mirror thinks you have passed its test, the mirror's vision will clear, and you can step through the mirror itself. Those who have passed this test will be given a word to remember. This word is the key to bypass the vision in the future for easy and quick passage. Remember, this only lasts for one semester.

Roane House In a seemingly normal hallway there sits a rather large aquarium full of fish of all colors and sizes. This is astonishing in itself since the castle is usually too chilly for fish, but at the bottom dangles a large key assumed to open the beautifully carved door nearby. When you plunge your arm into the large aquarium to retrieve the key, you feel as if you are being pulled down into the water, only to be standing in surroundings of your mind's choosing. Perhaps you are in a forest looking down upon a fox cornering a rabbit, or perhaps you are back in the school hallway watching as students bully another for their appearance or family. Your test is to portray kindness. How would you help in these scenes, or would you be too shy or meek and walk on, leaving others to their fate? Those who pass the test are allowed to retrieve the key, and as you wrap your fingers around it, your hear words in your head of a certain treat that the fish wish you to bring them in the future, and they will gladly give you the key in return.
