The Divination classroom is on an upper level, nestled in one of the corners of the castle, leading up to a tower. The room is dark from the windows being shaded by heavy velvet drapes, and the air is thick with the smell of Dragon's blood incense, burning in censers at various points along the walls. The only light source comes from flickering torches ensconced on the walls, the flames enchanted within invisible barriers so as not to catch the draperies on fire. The room is surprisingly small, or maybe that's because everywhere one looks pillows, carpets, and richly colored linens can be seen.
There are only seven tables in the room, six making a semi circle around the biggest, most ornately carved, purple-stained table. It sits low to the ground on short, fat legs, and it has a shimmery violet fabric spread over a sheer black piece of cloth, all laid out in a geometric pattern across the purple table. On the left side of the table is a double-flamed lamp, and on the right side sits an opaque crystal ball atop an antique stand. In the center, a deck of tarot cards are spread out in a seemingly jumbled mess. Stone crystals are scattered across the table, again, it seems as if at random.
The smaller tables making up the semi-circle are taller, with each table alternating between three differently colored cloths spread across them: a dark purple, emerald green, and black. Each table has two chairs, but the tables are wide enough to fit a third chair should they be needed. The chairs sit near each other on one side of each table. Enchanted orbs bob in mid-air around each table, casting a glow for students to see by enough to take notes.
Along the perimeter of the room, one can just make out the shapes of bookshelves, armchairs, and other small tables holding artwork, sculptures, or other knickknacks. Looking to the right, a stone staircase carved into the wall leads up to Professor Shira Skye's office, which is another array of rugs, linens, and cushions thrown about everywhere. Another large desk, lacquered in black and again, quite ornate in its carvings, sits in the center, gleaming in the glow of the firelit lamps.
