Personality: Esmerleda is a very charismatic woman. She’s got that bubbly personality in that she’s most always happy and trying to see the good in life. The glass is always half-full. She takes her music seriously and loves it with a passion that she wishes she could ignite in everyone. She daydreams quite often (and sometimes loses herself when stargazing) and is lover of people. She’s non-confrontational and prefers to either just take it or walk away.

History: School was about the most stable environment that Esmerelda had as a youth. Every summer they seemed to be staying in a different place, but she loved it. Always meeting new people and seeing new places – it was a new adventure every day. It wasn’t necessarily her father’s choice as he preferred to stay put, but he couldn’t stop his wife’s flighty nature and love of divination so they traveled around so that she could amuse the muggles. Their grandparents (gypsises themselves) stayed with them quite a bit and they taught Esmerelda and her sister to sing, dance, and play music. That’s where Esme found her true passion and why she pursued it. She found that she was quite talented with instruments along the way as well and since she loved children she decided she wanted to impart her knowledge to them. Esme started at Aurora several years ago, now. She was traveling (per her norm) and had come down with a nasty case of laryngitis that wouldn’t let up. She had stepped into a shop in Snowy Vale hopefully to find a remedy when another customer, Merry Mullein(who was assistant head at the time), offered to fix her up with an herbal remedy. The two talked (once the elixir took effect) and Esme set up roots at Aurora as the Music Ensemble teacher. She likes the ever changing atmosphere and her colleagues.
