DING. The place was stuffy, the curtains moth-eaten and faded, and Lorelai couldn't understand how the small Apothecary had fallen into such disarray. Surely the previous owners hadn't left this place in this condition. Her mother had ended up buying the place a few months ago and today was the first day she'd stepped foot inside the building. She let out a cough and sent dust flying around the room. "Well this won't do at all." She whispered, waving her wand around the room, watching the lights flicker before illuminating everything in an iridescent glow. She flicked her wrist and within minutes, the floor was swept and mopped, the room was dust-free, and the various paint splotches and peeling wallpaper were covered up with a new, neutral but light, color. "Much better. Now I can see what I'm working with." She said, adjusting her reading glasses on her face. She set the box down on the counter, thankful that her mother had brought the rest of her supplies a week earlier. The only downside was that she had left her to deal with the unpacking herself. Lorelai hated setting up, her professionalism and mild OCD always prevented her from getting things done in a timely manner. Even packing the boxes had been hard because everything had to be straight and alphabetical, then arranged by what the potion or tonic was used for. She could be done easily with a flick of her wand but this was her shop now, she wanted to be proud of it, so as she grabbed a box, she sighed, her head bowed as she sat on the floor of the shop, studying the contents of the first box and figuring out the exact spot where the medicines would go.
